Despite only being in the Mannheim music scene for just under one year, RADIODICK has made many significant accomplishments as a Newcomer band. RADIODICK was founded in 2003 by guitarist Oliver Braun and American vocalist Cameron Nusz. After discovering bassist Eric Stehle and Drummer Chris Lipps the band has taken on its ultimate and final form. The first live shows from RADIODICK began in May 2005, and over the past year they have raised the bar to heights that are seldom reached by bands that strike out on their own road. Their absolutely diverse musical backgrounds contribute to the unique and multifaceted sound from this intense Mannheimer Nu-Alternative Rock band. Their music can be best described as a dynamic mix between crushing guitar licks, free flowing bass lines, and tornado like drumming. All of this combined, and laid under the emotionally tormented vocals and lyrics, the band brings forth a cornucopia of musical genres.
Added to the musical dexterity of RADIODICK, is their electrifying stage performance. Often wild, and always spontaneous, this truly original rock band has captivated audiences ranging from small club shows and Open Air Fesitvals, to playing the ultimate Newcomer Festival in Mannheim, Rock im Quadrat, where they truly dominated the stage for a crowd of over 1000 in the Mannheimer Capitol.
On top of the live shows, RADIODICK has also been recording in the studio. The band recorded the first half of their self-produced debut album “SEE JANE WALK…†on 2-4 January 2005, with the second half recorded on 14-16 December 2005. The scheduled release date for “SEE JANE WALK…†is 25 May 2006. Keep your ears open, RADIODICK is BLOWIN’ UP!!! |
