The band name RADARFIELD comes from the vision of exploring the visible and invisible world (RADAR) and of conveying information from the tangible, intangible and fantastic acoustically and/or visually in the songs/videos (FIELD).
RADARFIELD – was founded in Berlin at the end of 2010 in the formation: Voc/Git –Bass – Keys – Drums. All four musicians had already played in various projects before RADARFIELD was founded and had gained some stage experience with their bands. After the drummer was replaced by a beat machine in 2011, RADARFIELD's first songs were initially in the post-punk/alternative genre. RADARFIELD released their first mini-CD (3 songs – in a small edition) in 2011 – already in the reduced 3-person formation: Voc+Git / Bass / Keys / Beat machine.
At the end of 2011, the bassist left the band and ended his life a short time later. The search for another bassist ultimately ended in the decision to use more "electronics". Over time, RADARFIELD's songs approached the musical genres of electronica, darkwave, synthwave paired with drum n' bass influences.
The singer sings in English (except "SCHMERZEN, 2024), mostly mysteriously with poetic lyrics - dense and vivid. Some songs outline a dark world in the here and now as well as in the near future. Other songs are tied into current topics and describe the fears and inadequacies of being human as well as the beginning and end of love.

The first songs created by the reduced new formation were “BLACK & CHROME” (2011) and “FIGHTN MACHINE” (2012). “FIGHTN MACHINE” appeared shortly afterwards on the Underground Compilation 2, in time for the 2nd Darkflower Live Night in Leipzig.
The song “SEA DRONES” followed in summer 2012. In addition to whale-like synth sounds, a female computer voice was also used for the first time. At the 3rd Darkflower Live Night event in Leipzig (2012), the song “SEA DRONES” was presented to the audience on the Underground Compilation. In 2013, “SEA DRONES” was remixed and then published in Orkus! Magazine (Compilation 87). The video for “SEA DRONES” was Video of the Month (NewcomerRadioDeutschland) in March 2013.
In 2013, “FIGHTN MACHINE” was published in Orkus! (Compilation 87) and "DISCOVERED SECRETS" (Orkus!, Compilation 94). At the turn of the year 2013/14, "FIGHTN MACHINE" was released in the Sonic Seducer magazine on the Cold Hands Seduction Vol. 148 (double issue 12/13-01/14). The video recordings for "DISCOVERED SECRETS" took place in Berlin, Innsbruck and Vienna. "DISCOVERED SECRETS" was recorded alongside well-known bands such as PIL; Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cramps, U2, Ultravox, and Virgin Prunes played the song on Death Rock Radio (USA, Tampa, Florida) and the song landed at number 1 in the 2013 NewcomerRadioDeutschland Song Contest after 4 weeks with the most fan votes. With the next song “DREAMBOX”, as well as 4 other songs and 30 other acts, the band took part in the “Battle of the Bands (2K13)” contest from Sonic Seducer Magazine.
In 2014, "DISCOVERED SECRETS" and "BLACK & CHROME" were published in Dark Spy Magazine, Vol. 58 (Compilation Vol. 52). At the 2nd Radio Contest 2014 by Zone 1 (Austria), in which a total of 10 bands from A, Ch and D applied, the video of "DISCOVERED SECRETS" took first place. "DISCOVERED SECRETS" is also on the BLOODLIT RADIO Session #14.
The video for the song “CYBER H.O.M.E.L.A.N.D.” was voted first in May 2014 (Radio: Zone1 Austria). A current interview can be found in NACHTAKTIV Magazine, Issue 18/2014 and in Dark Spy Magazine No. 62 (6-2014) on the Szenechecker homepage.
The CD “RED PLANET” has been available on Amazon, Itunes and 200+ other shops since November 14th, 2014.
"HADRON FACTORIES" is released in Orkus! (Compilation 107). In May/June 2015, the Dark Machines Vol.2 -XL sampler from KL-Dark Records was released with “SEA DRONES Remastered”.
At the end of 2016, "BLACK & CHROME" was number 1 in the Electronica Charts on NumberOneMusic. In the same year, “SILVERLIGHT” was released in Orkus! (Compilation 120).
In July 2017, the song “CATERPILLARS” was released in the 200th edition of SONIC SEDUCER on Cold Hands Seduction Vol. 189 and on Soundcloud.
Just in time for the 2018 winter season, a dark club version of “HADRON FACTORIES” - All waiting ends - HF Club Mix” with the collaboration of Sebastian Reinicke from b.tonal is available on Cold Hands Seduction Vol. 207.
In April 2020 the track “POLLUTION” will be released on Soundcloud - in July the video on YouTube.
In March 2021 the new song “VAMPIRE DIARY” will be presented in Sonic Seducer (Cold Hands Vol. 226). On March 4th, 2021 the new song “VAMPIRE DIARY” will be played on DME Radio. In December 2021 RADARFIELD landed at number #1 in the NumberOneMusic charts (genre: Electronica/Germany).
In January 2022 “VAMPIRE DIARY” will be released on E.B.M. Nation Vol. 4 (compilation) and the 2nd CD “BLACK PLANET” with new and old songs.
In 2023, "CATERPILLARS" will be released on the E.B.M. Nation Vol. 7 (compilation).
At the beginning of 2024, the song "SCHMERZEN" was released in digital stores in collaboration with Toxic Industry.
In January 2024, RADARFIELD was recommended on the website "Whitelight-Whiteheat" in the WEEKLY POST-PUNK // DARKWAVE // DARK SYNTH TIPS. In the same month, "Angel in the Dark" added the video of "VAMPIRE DIARY" (including lyrics) to the playlist on its YouTube channel "Angelinthedark" and the song "FIGHTN` MACHINE" was played on BLOODLIT RADIO in the session on January 23, 2024. In January, the song "SCHMERZEN" (a collaboration with TOXIC INDUSTRY from Italy) and in February 2024 "HYPNOTIZED" was released in digital stores.
On May 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2024, "VAMPIRE DIARY" and on May 14th and 15th, 2024 "SCHMERZEN" were played in the mix of FLYFLEWRADIO and also on RADIO NACHTFLUG (May 31st, 2024, DJ Netti). In the same month, the videos "ELEMENT GIRL" and "SILVERLIGHT" were released on YOUTUBE.
In July 2024, "TOMORROW`S WORLD" was released on YOUTUBE and in the digital stores. In June and July 2024, RADARFIELD was played on various radio stations (RADIO NACHTFLUG, FLYFLEW RADIO, MIXCLOUD (DJ Niggels), RADIO DARK ITALIA, FUSED WIRELESS PROGRAMME (UK)). In July 2024, RADARFIELD opened a page on FACEBOOK for Berlin bands (Electronica, New Wave, Synthpop, Gothic).
On July 21, 2024 (USA) and July 23, 2024 (AUS), "TOMORROW`S WORLD" and "HYPNOTIZED" was presented on INFECTIOUS UNEASE RADIO.
The new website (www.radarfield.com) was released in August 2024.
On August 23, 2024, "MEMORY IMPAIRMENTS" was released (video/song).
In August and September 2024, "MEMORY IMPAIRMENTS" was played on several web radio stations (RADIO NACHTFLUG, FLYFLEWRADIO, HAZZARD OF DARKNESS, INFECTIOUS UNEASE RADIO (USA/AUSTRALIA)).
October 1st, 2024, “SEA DRONES” was played in the “REQUIEM” Mix by DEATH ROCK RADIO (DJ RIVITHEAD, Tampa, Florida, USA) with bands like Nitzer Ebb, Blutengel, Alienare, Leather Strip etc.
“HYPNOTIZED” was played on October 5th, 2024 along with songs from bands like Faderhead, Combichrist, Horico, Agonoize etc. at CYBERAGE RADIO (Albuquerque, USA).
On October 19th, "VAMPIRE DIARY" was headliner by Madame Tamara Ravencroft - The Gothic Vampyre Empress - aired on FM 98.5 CKWR (Ontario, Canada).
At the beginning of November, "HYPNOTIZED" was played together with Soft Cell, New Order, Ladytron, BlakLight in Stuart Calder's ELECTRO & WAVE SHOW (MIXCLOUD live, GETMERADIO/SPECTRUM ON AIR (Manchester, UK)) together with e.g. Soft Cell, New Order, Ladytron and BlakLight.
Mid November, a detailed band history was published on Radio “Schwarze Welle” website.
At the end of November “ELEMENT GIRL“ and „FIGHTN´ MACHINE“ was on the playlist of COLD RADIO FUSION (Dearborn, Michigan, USA) and "HYPNOTIZED" was in the mix of WAXRADIO (Indianapolis, USA). In the same month, the video-mix of D.A.S (Dark Alternative Sound, DJ Eurydice, #170) with HYPNOTIZED“ and „VAMPIRE DIARY“ came out on YOUTUBE. In addition, "HYPNOTIZED" was also played on KOWS 92,5 FM Radio (CA, USA), OLD TOWN RADIO (Cyprus), MERCURY RADIO (Greece), MAD WASP RADIO (UK), WHISPERING DARKNESS (ITA), DARK BITES RADIO (GER) and WICKED SPINS RADIO (UK). „MEMORY IMPAIRMENTS“ was presented on RADIO SCHWARZE WELLE (Factory Frequencies) and on SPOTIFY (Justin Ride, Magic Artist Weekly #12).
Since December our songs have also been in the playlist of DARK BITES RADIO (GER) and on December 17th a blog about RADARFIELD by Tommi Bäckmann (FIN) (https://musicholistic.blogspot.com/) was published. This blog is dedicated, among other things, to dark electronic music.
In December, “HYPNOTIZED” was presented by Kaarin Zoe Lee (Radio NIGHTRIDE FM, Episode 35, Seattle, USA) and by Doctor Jeep on Radio BANDITO (ITA); “DREAMBOX” was on Steve Wallet’s (DARK CROSSING) stream and “HYPNOTIZED” was played on CYBERAGE RADIO (Albuquerque, USA) along with songs from bands like Front Line Assembly, Funker Vogt, Toxikk Deception.
“VAMPIRE DIARY” was played on George Jopling’s “My Synthwave+ Radio Show” (Sine FM, Doncaster, UK) together with Synthbart 81 and Dark Matter Void, among others.

RADARFIELD was introduced for the first time in the mix of RADIO DUNKELBUNT (Cologne, GER) by Ratze with the song "HADRON FACTORIES" and was also included in the station's playlist.
"METROPOLITAN AREA" was published (song + video).
On RADIO DUNKELBUNT, the song immediately landed on position #1 in the station's newcomer charts.

In March 2025, RADARFIELD's lead singer (TOM RADAR) released his new side project, "The Man With White Wings," together with DYLAN PHOENIX (aka Kabal Apokalyse, project manager of Funeral Records Autoproduction, Italy). Since the music ultimately deviated from the style of RADARFIELD, the project was distributed only under the names "TOM RADAR" and "DYLAN PHOENIX" and not under the brand "RADARFIELD". The video of the song became "Video Of The Day" on WHITELIGHT // WHITEHEAT.
