The band „Before the Fall“ was founded in 2005 by Michael “Mike†Kronstorfer and Rudolf “Rude†Obermann. In summer 2006 the band was taken under contract by the Austrian label “Noise Head Records†and in december of the same year the debut album “From Mutism to Riddance†was published.
This album was taken up and produced by Mike and Rude in their own studio. The world-famous producer Tue Madsen, who already worked together with bands like “Rob Halfordâ€, “The Hauntedâ€, “Sick Of It Allâ€, “Heaven Shall Burnâ€, “Gorefestâ€, “Kataklysmâ€, “Ektomorf†etc., did the mastering.
There followed numerous live-shows which brought a remarkable fan-base and a extraordinary feedback by the trade press. Moreover, in 2007 “Before the Fall†attended in the biggest band-contest of europe “ILA†(International Band Contest) with more than 1000 participants from Central Europe. Already in the qualifying rounds the manager Werner Stockinger (Rock the Nation, Planet Music) was impressed by their live-performance and took the band under contract. In May 2007 the finale took place in Vienna before more than 5000 visitors and “Before the Fall†reached the second place. Now the band got international attention and new ways were open.
An Endorsement contract with the American guitar manufacturer "Jackson / Fender" and a change to the German label „Twilight of zone Records“ followed, which allowed a worldwide distribution and required a new edition of the debut album.
Then in summer 2007 the first international appearances occurred. “Metalcamp†in Slovenia (20 000 visitors), “Summer Nights†(3000) and “Helloween-Festival†(1000) were some of them. In october 2007 “Before the Fall†did their first european tour with the Dutch primary rocks “Gorefest†and the Swedish “One Man Army and the Undead Quartett†with a total of 25 concerts and tens of thousands visitors which included following countries: Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Czechia and Germany. Last one rocked successfully the stage by the opening of the gasometre where approx. 3000 eager fans appeared.
The quality of „Before The of case“ also arranged the company "RED BULL", to use eight songs of the debut album for their advertising appearances as a musical priming coat for Air-Race flight running and moto cross "Red Bull X-Fighters". |
