POINT LEONARD was featured on BlindPilotProject’s Online Sampler among bands like Red Lights Flash, Death Before Disco & Worlds Between Us in February 2006.
Since November 2006 the breathtaking Freeski-DVD TRUE TALE, including the song “MY FEAR”, is released by the renowned skiing equipment company Fischer.
The computer game FREAKOUT - Extreme Freeride by JoWood also features “MY FEAR” on the soundtrack. This great new computer game is all about freeskiing and will be released for PC and Playstation 2 all over Europe in early 2007.
Serious demo recordings are planned for summer 2007.
POINT LEONARD was originally formed - though in a different line up - in January 2003. Based upon MAZI’s idea and the need for a change the first rehearsals took place. After getting involved in Bowie and Our Lady Peace songs the interest for self-made music was soon discovered.
7 month later the band performed their first gig supporting CORNFLEX. Seconds before the show was about to start MOGLI introduced themselves as POINT LEONARD in a spontaneous decision (the alternative would have been Elephant & Castle)...
However, it was not before October that year that POINT LEONARD found a drummer to suit their expectations, and with bass player ANDRÉ joining the band almost simultaneously as drummer ALEX, a reliable rhythm section was found.
In February 2004 IRIS is leaving the band taking away the only female influence. It took more than a year to find appropriate replacement - IVO joined POINT LEONARD in June 2005. His exceptional ideas and extraordinary skills on the guitar caused further development in the process of creating music and redefining sound, and eventually took POINT LEONARD to the next level...
